Most buckles will have a small amount of the bail showing from the back of the buckle. Once you add the belt and then wear it, virtually no one will notice it.
KEEP IN MIND a buckle in application is a 5-footer. As in, it will only really be glanced at from about 3-5 feet away. The average bear doesn't get up close and personal to that zone to notice casting imperfections or the slip of a bail.
The shape and size of your buckle can also affect how much of the bail shows. Rectangular buckles have more space to hide the hardware. The average oval buckle will have a small peak of the bail. Small/dress buckles will show the most.
